CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is a globally recognized, advanced-level credential appropriate for accountants and financial professionals in business. CMA program recognizes the unique proficiencies required for success in the challenging profession of Management Accounting. CMA exam aligns with the knowledge, skills and abilities which are critical to the success of finance teams. The CMA program has been designed to meet the evolving needs of business. CMA credential gives you greater credibility, higher earning potential, and ultimately a seat at the leadership table.
Candidates can register and pass the CMA exam while undergoing their undergraduate studies. However, the CMA designation is awarded on their completing graduation and two years of relevant experience.
Candidates can pass the CMA exam in less than one year and is arguably the least expensive global accounting qualification.
CMA FAQs
- Active membership in IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), USA
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or a related professional certification
- Two years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management, which can be completed after passing the exam, but are required as a final step to certification

Any graduate can pursue CMA course. IMA encourages students to register and pass the CMA exams while doing their graduation.
Pass rate on the CMA exam differs by geographic region, but averages about 50%.
CMA exam is organized into two parts:
   Part 1: Financial Planning, Performance, and Analytics
   Part 2: Strategic Financial Management
Each exam part is of four hours in length and includes 100 multiple-choice questions and two 30-minute essays. Candidates can take parts 1 and 2 in any order.
The CMA exams are computer-based and administered in hundreds of Prometric testing facilities worldwide including Kerala.
Exams are offered during the following test windows:
      January and February
      May and June
      September and October
Candidates can choose their convenient date and schedule exams online.
FM Academy class room coaching would require 80 hours per part. Candidates would need an equal amount of time for intensive practice using GLEIM software to ensure a pass at the CMA exams. Candidates can comfortably pass both the exam parts in one year.
It costs less than Rs. 1.5 lakhs for a student to earn the CMA designation, including our coaching fees. IMA scholarships and discounts can reduce this cost by Rs. 50,000.
We follow rolling batches where the students can be admitted on starting a new topic area. Accordingly, new admissions take place every month.
